J&J - Time

Pharma

We created a series of films for Johnson & Johnson’s In Front of Cancer work, telling the personal stories of two J&J employees whose lives and professions are deeply connected to oncology.

The combined film brings together Olivia and Pol’s stories: real Johnson & Johnson colleagues, not actors. Olivia’s story explores survival, diagnosis and the way cancer changes your relationship with time, while Pol’s story follows his work in advanced cell therapies, where the science of re-engineering a patient’s own cells becomes inseparable from the human hope behind it. Filmed across the UK and Belgium, including inside secure lab environments, the project needed a careful balance of intimacy, trust and technical precision. We used light, time and human detail to connect the science to the lives behind it, with careful use of AI as a VFX tool to build on our shot footage through subtle relighting, time-lapse effects and scene-setting moments that would have been impossible to capture fully within the timeframe and lab access constraints.
