J&J - Pol's Story

We created a series of films for Johnson & Johnson’s In Front of Cancer work, telling personal stories connected to oncology, advanced cell therapies and the human hope behind the science.

This film follows Pol, a real Johnson & Johnson colleague whose work in advanced cell therapies is deeply connected to the lives of cancer patients. Filmed across Belgium, including inside secure lab environments, the project needed a careful balance of technical precision and human storytelling. The film explores the science of re-engineering a patient’s own cells, while keeping the focus on the people, families and hope behind that work. We used light, time and human detail to connect the lab environment to the lives beyond it, with careful use of AI as a VFX tool to build on our shot footage through subtle relighting, time-lapse effects and scene-setting moments that would have been impossible to capture fully within the timeframe and lab access constraints.
