Cadbury removed the words from its Dairy Milk bar for the first time in support of Age UK, creating a campaign that asked people to think about the older people in their communities who often go unseen.
We shot this heartfelt film telling the stories of older people that we cast through the Age UK network, each of whom had experienced loneliness in later life. A lot of the work happened before the camera came out: finding the right people, visiting them, listening to their stories and making sure they felt comfortable enough to be themselves on screen. The film was created to encourage people to recognise and speak to older people in their communities. A friendly “hello” or “how are you?” is something most of us take for granted, but something so simple can make a massive difference to people’s lives.
